Harold is trying to make the best dinosaur movie that silent film era Hollywood has ever seen, but he can’t catch a break. As a stop motion animator, he is consistently over budget and out of time. His dinosaur consultant has disappeared with a mad scientist, the Mongolian government, and a rival paleontologist hot on his trail and everyone seems to think that Harold knows where to find him. With his film under threat, Harold teams up with his best friend Eva, a beautiful actress with a keen scientific mind. Together they set out on a desperate hunt to recover a stolen dinosaur egg before they find themselves extinct.

When an earthquake reveals a temple under a parish church on the outskirts of Mexico City, Oscar’s mentor is called in for damage control. In San Francisco, a photographer finds modern graffiti mixed with Aztec glyphs and asks for Oscar’s help in finding its source. The hunt leads Oscar to believe that something hungry is seeking new followers among the city’s disenfranchised youth. A series of jaguar attacks on gang members soon prompts Oscar to ask probing questions about his mentor’s archaeologist ex-girlfriend. As things spin out of control, raising an armada of Gold Rush ghost ships might not be enough to stop a battle between two ancient goddesses for the soul of the city.

Oscar thinks he’s outgrown his status as a trainee ghostbuster and takes on a gig of his own. In a strange city, with no backup, what could possibly go wrong? Oscar’s client is a young musician looking for the final jazz recording made by her father before his death. The last time this record was played, people died. Seems like maybe her daddy made a deal with someone, or something, nasty and paid for it with his life. Oscar must use all his skills, or learn some new ones fast, if he wants to dance through the graveyards, nightclubs, and bayous of New Orleans and emerge with his skin intact.
